In Congo a country in  Central Africa, there’s a special group of people called the Sapeurs who are famous for their incredible style!  Who is a Sapeur?

A Sapeur is someone who loves fashion and dresses in the most beautiful clothes. They wear bright colours, fancy hats, and shiny shoes. Imagine wearing your best costume every day!  Where Did This Tradition Come From?

The Sapeur tradition started a long time ago in Congo, especially in her capital city Kinshasa. The Rwanda Genocide was a tragic event that occurred between April and July 1994 during the Rwandan Civil War.
